Thoughts:

Sea-green is my new favorite color, so when I saw this art piece of Dawn in all sea green armor I instantly fell in love and decided to enter the Dawn look-a-like contest at Dragoncon '03 for a 2nd time. It took the entire year to figure out how to make sea green chrome light-weight armor. Everytime I saw something that looked chrome, wheels would turn in my head. I tried snack bags, mylar balloons, wrapping paper, sheet metal, silver fabric, kitchen utensils, everything. The amount of trial and error and experimenting with all different kinds of materials paid off in the end though. My wig is a little bit too long, but I could not bring myself to cut it. I also needed the wig for other costumes, and I am not a rich girl. lol. I had to imagine the back of the costume and the shoes myself, gathering inspiration from other Linsner artworks. I made sure to wear much more comfortable heels this year as well. I was very happy to see so many friendly faces backstage this year.
