Thoughts:

I was more than happy when Steve Bennett of Studio Ironcat wanted to include me in an Ironcat calendar featuring nothing but kitty girls. =^_^= After thinking about it for a while, I asked for February, being my birth month and also giving me the opportunity to think up something cute for Valentine's Day! After sitting down and coming up with five different designs, I settled on this one. Originally this design included a pink dress with a heart cutout on the neck. After my recent obsession with the Rocky Horror Picture Show though, I decided to loosely base the costume off of Janet Weiss and changed the body to a corset and garters. This is Janet if she was a catgirl on Valentine's Day. ^_^ Gotta love it!

Construction

Paws: I used a shiny, sparkly, pink lycra fabric. I used no patterns, just tracing my arms, legs, hands, and feet. I stuffed the hands and feet with polyester fiber and made claws out of sculpy. I made tiny holes in the tips of the fingers and toes and inserted the claws in. The heart shaped padding was made from red pleather and glued on.

Panties: I sewed these using the bottom half of a leotard pattern.

Ears: These were really easy to make. I sewed two triangles, glued the details on, and glued them onto a pink headband.

Tail: I sewed the tail, then stuffed it with polyester fiber. I then carefully inserted a wire into it.

Bow: I made this out of red pleather, using my Sailor Moon bow pattern.

Collar: Just a long strip of red pleather, hemmed with red, pink, and white rhinestones glued on it. =^_^=

Corset: I purchased this at Fredericks of Hollywood.

Wings: I purchased them at Fatman's.
