Chichi

Thoughts:

Where would Goku be without Chichi? After seeing countless con pictures around the web of Goku and a catgirl, Goku and Misty May, Lum and Gohan, etc., I decided it was time we matched. ^_^ So... I made this cute Chichi costume. I have to say that this is one of my best sewn costumes ever, despite it's simplicity and I'm happy with how it fits and how it turned out. I was a little worried about what I would look like with black hair, and I can say I definitely look different, but not as bad as I thought I would. ^_^'

Construction:

Dress: I used bridal satin and Butterick pattern 5585. I only had to modify it a bit.

Shawel: After hunting down orange satin, I made the shawel out of 1 ½ yds of it, using no pattern.

Belt: Cut and hemmed a long piece of yellow satin, cut it to be the right size for my waist, and added Velcro to fasten it.

Wig: I bought the wig from a Halloween shop for $6, cut it, and styled it. I would have liked to have bought a better quality wig online, but I was pressed for time because I wanted to have the costume done for Nekocon.
